Sharks Face Patriots
The Riverview Sharks will be playing Freedom High tonight at the Patriots’ home field. This will be the first away game Riverview has played in the regular season.
Head Football Coach William Mosel, provided insight on the Patriots saying, “Freedom is a good football team, you know. They have a pretty tough defense.” Mosel said his focus for the game would be developing the offensive aspect of the team.
The goal for game against Freedom tonight according to Mosel, is “Getting it together as a group, playing the way we’re supposed to.”
Mosel followed up with details to what happened in last Friday’s game against East Bay High School, “We had a lot of guys in and out of the line-up... #7 (Cheyenne Greaves) is out for right now, he took a hard helmet to the knee”, as for the starting running back Greaves, it appears he will not be playing against the Patriots tonight.
In respects to their loss against the Indians, Mosel stated, “You know, East Bay was running the ball a lot and when it came to us throwing the ball we had a lot of missed opportunities. From the outside looking in, it seemed like our QB held the ball too long, but in reality there was also a couple that missed their assignments. We missed execution and didn’t take advantage of opportunities that were there.” The final score for last Friday’s game was East Bay 28, Sharks 14.
Mosel is anticipating a tough game coming from Freedom, but he said the team is ready to give their best efforts.
The game will take place tonight at 7:30p.m., Freedom High School in north Tampa.
