Track District Meet

The Riverview High School Track and Field team recently participated in the District Track Meet at Spoto High School. The girls finished as runner up in the district and the boys finished in 4th place.

According to sophomore runner Alyssa Hendrix, “Districts was a good meet.”

Many sharks will be moving on to the Regional Track Meet to represent RVHS in many different events. This includes Tamel McCall, Perry Rodgers, Isaiah Miller-Anglin, Marieliza Lopez, Adrianna Hagel, Julia Rohm, Alyssa Hendrix, Mansi Lorenzen, Tyanna Chestnut, Jataya Jackson, Taliyah Wallace, Cambree Sargable, Madison Jones, Edwin Maldanado, Taylen Harris, Eric Brown, Calvin Larkins, Luis Quintero, and Eli Davila.

McCall and Rodgers are the District Champions for the triple jump. Another District Champion from RVHS was Hendrix in the 3200-meter.

The team will be competing in Regionals on Thursday April 26 at George Jenkins High School.

“I think Regionals is going to be a very competitive race,” said Hendrix.
