Swim Season Recap
The Riverview High School swim season has come to an end. Although the team did not qualify for States, they did have a successful season. They won a majority of their meets and worked hard to perform well.
The 400 free relay team, which consists of Adriana Luttrell, Sarah Lorduy, Emmalyn Hill, and Savannah Crone, made it to Regionals where they did not qualify for states. However, at Regionals the girls beat the school record for their event. They finished with a time of 4:01 which beats the current record by nearly eight seconds.
Lorduy, said, “I’m really proud of our team because all the hard work we put into this season finally paid off in the end.”
Looking back on the swim season, RVHS Swim Co-Captain Adriana Luttrell said, “I think we did good and really improved from the beginning of the season. (The season) was a lot of fun. We got closer than any other team I’ve been on.” Luttrell loved the closeness of the team and having the leadership position for such a great group.
“I’m super happy with how the team competed this season and I’m very proud of them as a coach.” said RVHS Head Boys’ Coach Brian Adams.
Luttrell added, “I’m very confident about the team doing well next season.”
