Football Season Recap
Last Friday, the Sharks finished off the varsity football season with a 30-10 win against Palm Harbor University on Senior Night.
Starting quarterback Reagan Jorgenson scored two touchdowns in the first half, giving the Sharks a good lead on Palm Harbor with a score of 17-10 at halftime. Several more successful plays by the Sharks in the second half pulled them through with the win. Throughout the season, Jorgenson believes the team had a couple let-down games but bounced back and played good on Senior Night. “Overall the season went well,” he said.
This being his final year at Riverview, Jorgenson hopes to continue to play football in college deciding on his best offer.
Head Coach William Mosel looks forward to future seasons and believes they “built a good foundation in younger players” this year. The team ends the 2017 season 4-6, the same win-loss ratio as last season.
