Sharks Beat Ravens

Last Friday night was the Homecoming game against Alonso. The Sharks came out with a 28-22 win.

Starting quarterback Reagan Jorgenson said the team, “Started off slow and we weren’t very sharp, but our defense kept us in it.”

As the game picked up after halftime, Jorgenson says the team, “Came out strong and at a faster pace trying to get something started.”

The game ended with what many called an amazing play by wide receiver Jamarcus Hall that locked in the win for the Sharks.

“I did my job and did the team right,” Hall said.

The receiver made a one-handed catch in the end zone with five minutes left in the game to put the Sharks on top to stay.

Jorgenson said about the play, “Coach said don’t go deep if you don’t have to, but I saw a little separation that Jamarcus had and trusted him, threw it up and let him make an amazing play on the ball.”

Head coach William Mosel feels Hall, “played really well. He’s getting better every week and stays after practice working every day.”

Hall scored two of the team’s touchdowns on Friday night, and Mosel is proud of the team’s “ability to snap out of negative and come out positive. They stuck to the game plan and got it done. It was an emotional victory for the team.”

Tonight, the Sharks face Strawberry Crest at home at 7:30.

In past games against Strawberry Crest, the Sharks have come out with a victory. Tonight, Mosel hopes for the same outcome and wants the team to “play better and do what are supposed to. I hope we play well from start to finish.”

He said he doesn’t want the team to follow the past few games’ pattern of being slow in the first half and picking it up in the second. Instead, he is looking for more consistent play.
