Alonso Preview

This Friday for Riverview’s Homecoming game the Sharks take on Alonso at 7:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, Riverview suffered what RVHS Head Football Coach William Mosel called a “heartbreaking loss” against Steinbrenner. The Sharks were in the lead for the majority of the game but lost control in the fourth quarter. They fell behind, ending the game with a 22-12 loss.

“I wanted so badly for the guys to have success, for their moral and for the school,” Mosel said.

When the Sharks faced Alonso last season, they came out with a 7-6 win. Mosel says this game is a, “must win and we gotta have this.” Being the homecoming game he expects the players will “come out fired up and ready to play.”

\According to Mosel, this is going to be a tough game and he is looking forward to seeing how the players will come back off a tough loss and deal with minor injuries.
